Oh, look! A gif of me!
I'm a professional editorial artist who focuses on portraiture. Faces are some of the mostcompelling things to look at and I like to make them even more appealing by creatingillustrations around them. Musical artists are some of my favorite faces to draw. I've alwayslistened to music with any activity do, and I'd like to thank my father for introducing me to theworld of music since he was a very big hip-hop and R&B head. His love of music started myjourney of finding music that really spoke to me. Each artist has a distinct sound and I like to tryto match that sound with my portraits. My goal when creating any portrait is to make the viewer feel how I feel when I listen to these musicians. I mainly work digitally using Procreate and some Photoshop. My style ranges from colorful and graphic to more realistic.
I was born in East Point, Ga in the late summer of '96. I have lived here in Georgia all my life, although I do have dreams of living in other places just to experience different kinds of people and events. I think that's another reason I like to draw musicians: they travel and live this grandlife all while putting out some of the most thought provoking, life-changing music. I want to experience that same life one day. I started seriously crafting my artistic and creative skills when I got to middle school and have been seriously drawing since then with the occasional long unintended break. Credit of my initial interest in art goes to my dad. His stories of how he would sell his "dope drawings" of landscapes and marvel characters to his fellow classmates when hewas just a youngin' really lit a fire within me and it led me to my studies of Illustration at Savannah College of Art and Design. My father is my inspiration. He keeps me going even though he is no longer around. I draw to keep him and I alive.
